Trust
A Short Film Co-Directed by Iain Cash & David Stokes
 Synopsis
After a routine shopping trip, Amy returns to her car in a supermarket parking lot, only to find a stranger, Max, waiting beside it. Friendly, well-dressed, and a little flushed from the cold, Max explains that he witnessed a group of youths acting suspiciously around her car and took it upon himself to scare them off. Staying behind just in case they returned, he assures Amy his intentions are entirely noble.
But as the conversation unfolds, a simple act of goodwill starts to feel... slightly off. Max, it turns out, has been waiting longer than expected and is now running late for a meeting at a nearby office. Would Amy be kind enough to give him a quick lift?
A quietly tense, character-driven short that plays with trust, appearances, and the blurry line between decency and manipulation, Trust asks: how well can we really know someone we’ve just met—and how far does politeness stretch in a world full of subtle power plays?
