MURAL is a grounded, emotionally charged short film inspired by true events. Set against the backdrop of a forgotten corner of urban Britain, it follows a group of individuals brought together by a community mural project, each carrying invisible scars, each searching for connection, meaning, or simply a reason to show up.
At its heart, MURAL is about recovery, not just from addiction, but from loss, guilt, and disconnection. The story unfolds gradually and intimately, revealing moments of vulnerability and quiet strength as the group struggles to build something that might outlast them.
This is a film about what we carry, what we hide, and the unexpected power of community to offer hope, even in the smallest of gestures.
Driven by authenticity and visual texture, MURAL is being developed with the goal of festival submission and wider community impact. It’s a story we believe needs to be told, to start conversations, build empathy, and reflect lives too often overlooked.
